I am very excited to share with you my latest purchase, a sustainable winter coat from Eileen Fisher. I’m so happy about this purchase because it’s made in the USA and is 100% recyclable! The lining of the coat is made from recycled plastic bottles which are melted down into fabric. This material makes the coat water resistant and lightweight, perfect for Minnesota winters! Not only does this jacket look good on me, but also feels great. It is soft against your skin and doesn’t irritate even when you’re wearing clothes underneath that don’t breathe well at all (hello wool sweaters). I just love how versatile it is too – not only can I wear it over jeans or leggings but also dress it up with tights and a skirt. The hood is perfect to throw on for those extra windy days or when there’s snow falling because the fur lining around it will keep me nice and warm!

I am a huge fan of Nau. I have been following them for years and their sustainable coats are one of my favorite items they make. This winter, the company has come out with a new line that is perfect for those in search of a coat that will keep you warm while not harming the environment. The new coats use recycled materials from old fishing nets to create insulation! I love this idea because it’s creative and environmentally friendly, which is something we need more of these days! The best thing about this company though, is that they give back some of their revenue to charity programs around the world. You’ll never feel guilty again when wearing their coats knowing that you are helping out those in need while looking good at the same time.
